There are a number of hints to make using this site easier. Some of these are:
NAVIGATING AROUND THE SITE.
- hover your mouse above the menu item until you have the selection you need. There can be up to three menus which are revealed so just follow them until no more appear. DON'T press the mouse on each link.
- use the Index (located in the first "Site details" menu) with a word describing what you want to find -
for example DATE STAMPS, WAR, WOMEN, ABC, SLOGANS, TELEGRAPH STAMPS, TIME, etc.
- it is sometimes easier to use the "arrow back" button in the top left corner to go back to a page two or three previously.
NAVIGATING AROUND ON A PAGE
- by using the mouse wheel, you can enlarge or reduce the size of text.
- to return to the top of a page, you can scroll up in the usual way OR use the "arrow back" button Or the "Return to top" hyperlink at the bottom of each page.
- hyperlinks are the underlined blue words and by pressing on one, you will be taken to further details of that idea - on the same page, on another page or on another site. You can always return easily by pressing the blue return arow in the top left of your screen.
